For President's Day weekend, we visited Lauren and Tommy in Denver.
These photos were all taken in their rented home in the Historic Baker neighborhood.
They just bought a house in the Rosedale neighborhood, which they are moving into as I write.

| Valentines elves at work |
| For V-day, the boys each got a little box with animal erasers in them. |
| To his dismay, Zeal's plunked his donkey eraser into whipped cream (next to his Valentine-Raspberry pancake). |
| Hiking before the weather suddenly turned crisp and snowy. |
| Real men hike with diaper bags. |
| Lauren and Avery running and sparing with sticks. |
| Hanson hiking, at this stage of our lives, always ends like this. |
| Oh, the thin air and whining sounds; look how the parents smile through gritted teeth. |
| Post-hike lunch and ice cream. |
| We visited Alexander, Veronica, and Sophia in their colorful home in Niwot. |
| They served the kids black beans. |
| We visited Lauren and Tommy Shuler in Boulder. They met our Lauren and Tommy over soup and tea. |
| And the Shulers happen to have rubber duckies. And an incredible collection of lego sets. |
| Denver got snow! |
| Outside the beautiful REI overlooking the Platte River. |
| When traveling, kids can apparently can nap any which way. |
Our last day, we entertained ourselves while the Drakes were at work. This is the renovated train station, which is filled with chic cafes and shops. |
| We visited the Denver Children's Museum. The boys were firefighters and then engineers. |
| Zeal snow gazing during a diaper change. |
Goodbye, Lauren and Tommy. We already miss you two.
