This is so sweet. And also can be seen as payback to Avery for all the mornings he's awoken us in this same way.

Mimi and Opa
Mimi and "Apple" (as Zeal calls him) came to visit this month. Within minutes of their arrival, they were both reading to the boys.

And of course, Opa loves projects, especially slightly questionable ones. I made the request for him to make us a zipline. He got right to it. |
And then he tested it on our neighbors, Astrid and William. |

Katie and Tim, Western Ones
Our lives are delightfully (and confusingly) filled with couple name repeats. We have two sets of Lauren and Tommys and two sets of Katie and Tims in our lives. This is Western Katie and Tim, not to be confused with Eastern K&T in Maine. It was such a treat to have them with us during spring break.

Snow Eggs
There is no better way to start spring break than a trip to the mountains.
On Saturday, we hiked Shirley Falls in the warm sun.
And that night, the Easter bunnies prepared the goods.
This included a 6 a.m. snowy egg hide that resulted in a certain Easter bunny getting locked out of the cabin and needing to tap on windows to wake Mr. Bunny so as to not freeze to death in pajamas.
A trail of eggs (filled with dried strawberries) led to the boys' special baskets. This is a Braunohler family tradition. |
