Spring 2018 Recapitulation

As you can see from my very intermittent posting, being a working mom of three leaves little time for blogging. But getting back on the horse and trying to document some memorable times from the spring.

Lots of art has been made this year. Zeal's favorite activity is "chalkboard work." And Sid shows a real interest in quiet fine motor activities.

The chickens are doing their daily asanas for us.

Cozy breakfast by the chiminea.

Sid's special day with honorary Granddad Tom Sears.

Spring Garden Projects:
Treehouse slide! Assembled in true Bob Braunohler fashion, leaving no room for pre-planning and lots of room for user error.

New climbing dome!

Full Belly Farm dinner and camping night, where I ran into my advisor from Mills!

Slide Ranch family farm day

And de-licing is deliciously cute

Hinckley Hanson! The fourth boy.

Two months ago, we adopted this sweet pup. He was rescued from Korea, where he was raised in a dog-to-table situation. He came with the name Sticky Rice, which we considered keeping, but it was kind of a mouthful (pun intended). So now he is Hinckley, after our favorite beach on Nantucket. He is a shy little guy, but he's warming up quickly. He loves walks, sleeping in the guest room shower, and being held by his new mama.

Yikes! September, October, November, December!

It turns out that when the blogger works full-time, the blogging gets a little intermittent. My apologies for zooming through the fall and winter in one entry. The highlights include: beach time at Point Reyes, a trip to Denver for Thanksgiving, and grandparent time in Oakland for Christmas. Our next entry will be about our new dog: Hinckley Hanson! Stay tuned...
