The Waiting Game

While we are awaiting the arrival of baby #2, we're finding small adventures to fill our luxuriously unplanned days. The homebirth supplies are laid out, Avery's duffle bag is packed for a visit with friends during the labor, and the fridge is stocked with juice and coconut water. Meanwhile...

We saw a circus which inspired this move.

Out to ice cream with our lovely friend and neighbor.

Sleeping in...sort of

A special experience for all motorcycle enthusiasts.

Baby gear is ready!

We visited Tommy's and Lauren's wedding site for next summer.

And someone now "swims" with goggles.

Another steam train visit (in Papa's shirt from 1976)

Rachel and Jeff and Jules - Oh My!

Rachel, Jeff, and Jules visited us from Boston. We were so lucky to have them for 3 days.
Avery loved "Baby Jules" and even had a tantrum after Jules left for the airport, repeating:
"Where my Baby Jules go?"

They did some very collaborative work together.

And entertained each other during grown-up conversations.

One of the best afternoons was at the Cheeseboard in Berkeley listening to live music.

And Christine learned some of the perks of Picasa from Jeff,
who is more tech saavy than the whole Hanson household combined.

A & J enjoying the maple butter that Jeff and Jules stealth-tapped in Boston.

There was lots of reading and cuddling.
And Avery read his first book aloud to Jules.
The best part is when he can't remember what a gorilla is and skips that page.
