Zeal's Outtakes

As many of you know, it's very hard to photograph someone who has no control over his muscles. This ensures a lot of photo sessions, 98% of which are outtakes. Here are the top outtakes from the past 3 days:

Zeal for his maternal great-great grandmother, Vivian Zeal, and Henry for his maternal grandfather, Robert Henry Braunohler, and his paternal great-grandfather, Henry Hanson. 

He-Who-Cannot-Be-Named is 5 days old!

So the new baby now knows how to be a brother. 

He doesn't have much choice, but he seems game for anything. 

Avery loves holding him and calls him "my baby."

"Baby want milk?"

Meanwhile, the original brother (Basil) looks on with perfect detachment.

He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is quite a lovely little guy.

New Baby Hanson!

Our sweet boy arrived Friday, August 9th at 9:30 a.m. He is a robust 8 pounds 8 ounces. Labor began in the wee hours of the morning and progressed quite quickly. Our stellar midwives from Avery's birth attended this one. Both boys were born in their bedroom here at home. 

We are overjoyed to welcome this new person into our family. 

His name will be announced shortly, so stay tuned... 

Avery is incredibly gentle with his new brother.

The birth happened the minute Christine's parents landed at San Francisco airport AND the moment Lauren (Christine's sis) was summiting a Colorado mountain. Such magic!
