Sidney: No Man Is An Island

Sidney means island, south of the water. Despite the confusion that "south of the water" poses, his Aunt Ilyse reminded us that no man in an island. As the poet John Donne wrote


No man is an island entire of itself; every man 
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
