Heading to the Land Where Sea Meets Sand

We are leaving Oakland...

We are making the final preparations for our year in Nantucket! We will live on the island from July 1, 2016 to July 2017.


For those interested in the moving details: The Hansons are flying to Nantucket on July 1. The family car is being driven (with our possessions) by Oberlin friends, Chris and Wen. We will pick up the car in Boston in mid-July before heading to Pinewoods Family Dance Camp for one week. At camp, we will reunite with dear friend, Elvie Miller, from Ireland. Then we will return to Nantucket for more summer fun. And then fall. Then winter. Then spring.


The kids are excited. Zeal asked when we are "walking to San Frantucket." Avery knows his new school is called Nantucket Lighthouse School but is not convinced it won't be in an actual lighthouse. And Sid continues to spit up at least six times a day in anticipation of the move.
